An integral part of the Adventist Healthcare Network since 2001, the Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital is the only acute rehabilitation hospital in Montgomery County. The hospital consists of four facilities: two rehabilitation hospitals and two outpatient rehabilitation clinics. The rehabilitation hospitals include a 55-bed, free-standing facility next to Shady Grove Hospital in Rockville, and a 22-bed facility on the fifth floor of Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park. The two outpatient rehabilitation clinics are located in Rockville and Silver Springs.

Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital specializes in inpatient and outpatient treatment for individuals with functional limitations, including but not limited to patients suffering from traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, strokes, amputations, orthopedic injuries and surgeries, sports-related injuries, work-related injuries, cardiopulmonary conditions and neurological disorders. Individualized, practical in-patient programs are designed by a team of experts, led by a psychiatrist who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Their goal is to guide patients to self reliance and independence.

The outpatient clinics at Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital offer modern facilities. In the Rockville location, this includes a 4,000 square-foot gym, a therapeutic garden and an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Apartment. The Silver Spring location features spacious treatment areas and an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) kitchen. These facilities provide patients with the chance to work on obtaining or reclaiming the real world skills that will enable them to improve their quality of life.

In-patient Services at the hospital include Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, Amputee Program, Brain Injury Program, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Cardiac Program, Neurologic Program, Orthopedic Program, Medically Complex or Multi-traumatic Program. Outpatient Services include: Balance and Vestibular Therapy, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment, Driver Rehabilitation Program, Lymphedema Therapy, Hand Therapy, Seating and Mobility Clinic, Joint Replacement Program, Speech Language and Swallowing Therapy. The hospital also offers additional patient support services, including Medical Services, Rehabilitation Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology and Recreation Therapy. Patients may also be assigned a social worker and a case manager, to advocate for their health needs and address the social and economic issues that arise as a result of disability.

Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital is a part of the network of health services based in Rockville, MD and owned by Adventist Healthcare.
